One word that may help you understand this letter better is coterie: an intimate and often exclusive group of persons with a unifying common interest or purpose.
In this letter, Screwtape is alarmed that the patient has been loyal to one church.
What does he suggest Wormwood do about this situation?
What 2 reasons according to Screwtape is "church shopping" better than belonging to one church?
What does Screwtape suggest can be done between "party churches" to cause disruption?

What does he suggest Wormwood do about this situation? To send the patient all over looking for a new church, that 'suits' him better.
What 2 reasons according to Screwtape is "church shopping" better than belonging to one church? It will cause him to be a critic of all the churches rather than a pupil of one, and he will use the unity he would have with other believers if he stayed at one church.
What does Screwtape suggest can be done between "party churches" to cause disruption? To work up hatred in between 'parties' of people over silly subjects such as whether 'mass' is a better term or 'communion' is.
Screwtape suggests that Wormwood takes his "patient" "Church shopping.."
Reason 1 for going "Church shopping."
The "Enemy" wants the "patient" to go to only 1 church.
"Church shopping" transforms the "patient" into a critc.
That is the oppisite of what God wants for us...God wants us to His pupils...
To Flippant about churches and just worry about the little things.
Last post 4 today!

V.I.P.s RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops my computer left out the other "i" in critic....
What does he suggest Wormwood do about this situation? make him think he needs a new church and send him looking for a better one
What 2 reasons according to Screwtape is "church shopping" better than belonging to one church? he will not be close to the other christians there and he will only find flaws.
What does Screwtape suggest can be done between "party churches" to cause disruption? to cause fights between the groups in the church over little stuff that doesnt matter, bringing them away from God
1) He suggests that Wormwood convince the patient to go "church shopping" so that he may find one that SUITS him. Screwtape had said that the patient didn't quite feel at home in the church he presently attends.
2) One, the man will become a critic instead of a pupil in the church that listens to the Bible's messages, which God wishes for us to be. Two, he will be surrounded by many different sorts of people that could keep him away from any connection with the Lord.
3) Screwtape says that "party churches" could keep the patient violently attached so that he cannot just focus on God in church. The "party churches" will distract him, as well as the other people who attend it.
